Dr. Seuss Beginner Book Collections Giveaway! Two Winners!

Musings of a Single Mama reached 1,000 Fans on Facebook!

Reading has always been an important part of my life, my family's life, and now of KBug's life. I have been blessed with a child who loves to read and I'm kind of terrified that I might not be so lucky if ever I get around to having a second child. But, for now, I am thoroughly enjoying listening to KBug read.

With it being summer time, so many parents are looking for ways to fill the day now that the kids are home full time. I'm the parent of a second grader (yikes!) which means we are spending a lot of time working on math facts and on KBug's reading skills. KBug is an awesome reader- so awesome that there are times when it seriously scares me because I feel like she's going to be reading the same books as me by the time she's twelve! She has a huge collection of books in her room, ranging from the "Step 2" books all the way up to chapter books suitable for the typical 4th or 5th grader. And, yes, she can read them all.

Her favorite set of books, though, is all of her Dr. Seuss books. I inherited a large number of Dr. Seuss books when KBug was first born. They were my mom's books that she had held on to from when she had the daycare in our home. They were then passed on to a friend of the family who gifted them back to me when I had KBug. They're well used, well loved and you can definitely see it in some of them.

So when I got to thinking about a giveaway, and decided to focus on books, I decided to zero in on sets that could be used at almost any age. I started reading these books to KBug before she was even a year old, and now she's 7 years old and reading them to me! If you're thinking in terms of school-age children, these books all fall somewhere in the Kindergarten to 3rd grade reading levels, so they last for years and can all be found in the Accelerated Reader programs many schools have implemented to measure reading levels and reading comprehension in their students.

Because it is so important to me, I am giving away two boxed sets of Dr. Seuss books. They are both part of the Dr. Seuss Beginner Book Collection and they each have five books. The original Beginner Book Collection has Hop on Pop - Fox in Socks - One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish - The Cat in the Hat - Green Eggs and Ham.

The Second Beginner Book Collection contains Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! - Oh Say Can You Say? - The Cat in the Hat Comes Back - I Can Read with My Eyes Shut! - Dr. Seuss's ABC's: An Amazing Alphabet Book.

There are TWO WINNERS for this giveaway! The first winner will receive the Beginner Book Collection, the second will receive the Second Beginner Book Collection. Just submit your entries through the Rafflecopter below!

Good Luck!
